Call for Papers

Contributed papers for MathML 2002 should be submitted in the form of extended abstracts of two to four pages by Monday, February 18, 2002. Submissions will be reviewed by the program committee, and notification of acceptance will be given by Monday, March 11. The abstracts will be placed on the conference web site before the meeting.

A special issue of the Journal of Symbolic Computation (JSC) containing full versions of papers selected from the meeting is planned. Details of this special issue will be provided to the authors of those papers that are accepted for presentation at the conference. Authors who wish to submit papers for this special issue will be requested to do so by Friday, October 25, 2002.


Panels
Proposals are invited for high-quality panel sessions. Proposals should include a two-page description and motivation for the topic to be discussed, as well as two pages devoted to the biographies of willing panelists. Panel proposals should be submitted by Monday, February 18, 2002. The program committee will give notification of acceptance by Monday, March 11.

Posters
Poster sessions will allow for presentation of new developments and works in progress. Posters to be considered for presentation at the conference should be submitted in the form of abstracts of one to four pages by Tuesday, April 30, 2002 (deadline extended from original March 15 date). The program committee will give notification of acceptance by Friday, May 10.

Demos
A special session will be devoted to live software demonstrations. To propose a software demonstration, describe the main aspects of the package, emphasizing its unique or novel aspects, in two to five pages (including any screenshots) by Friday, March 15, 2002. The program committee will give notification of acceptance by Friday, March 29.


All submissions must be received by the dates specified. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email to the submitting authors. The preferred method for submission is via the web.

March 29: Notification of acceptance for posters and demos
April 30: Poster proposal deadline (extended)

October 25: Deadline for full papers for JSC special issue
